Who was Jack the Ripper ???
Between August and November 1888 a series of killings shocked London and the whole of Britain due to their horrific nature and the killer remains unknown. Due to poor policing techniques, vested interests and the sudden halt to the killings, no-one was convicted. (Though it can be argued that modern-day police in similar situations - Yorkshire Ripper, Boston Strangler, Ted Bundy - have fared little better, taking years to uncover these sexual-serial killers).
